Responsibilities

• Refining craft in both close-up style and big-picture storytelling discipline
• Applying a copy-editor's forensic eye for detail
• Switching to a reader's-eye view to tune in to the story's subtext and emotional impact
• Helping improve and optimise individual books
• Maintaining consistency and continuity across the series
• Developing and maintaining an extensive story bible of character profiles and world elements

Qualifications

• Proven track record of long-term creative collaboration with authors across multiple books
• Ability to work on both line-level style and overarching narrative structure
• Copy-editing expertise with meticulous attention to detail
• Capacity to adopt a reader's perspective and assess emotional resonance and subtext
• Experience managing continuity across a series with complex, ongoing storylines and multiple narrative threads
• Skill in creating and maintaining comprehensive reference materials (story bibles) for series consistency
