Pharmacy Technician Trainee - Fairfield Hospital

Responsibilities

• Receiving and verifying the accuracy and authenticity of prescriptions
• Reviewing and recording patient information with their prescription in compliance with the guidelines of the General Pharmaceutical Council
• Providing instructions to educate people on the correct way to take their medicine
• Supporting the Pharmacist in the daily operation of the pharmacy
• Protecting employees and patients by adhering to infection-control protocols and policies
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED (required, unless enrolled in a High School Training Program)
• Licensure/Certification: Registration with respective State Board of Pharmacy as a Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacy Technician Trainee, if applicable (required)
• In South Carolina: State Registered Pharmacy Tech (preferred)
• Previous experience working in a team environment (preferred)

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED
• Licensure/Certification: Registration with respective State Board of Pharmacy as a Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacy Technician Trainee, if applicable
• Experience: Previous experience working in a team environment (preferred)

• Knowledge of pharmacy terminology, medication names, and aseptic technique
