Pharmacy Technician Supervisor

About the role

Beacon Health System is hiring a full-time evening shift Pharmacy Technician Supervisor for their Pharmacy Services Department at Beacon Kalamazoo in Kalamazoo, MI.

Responsibilities

• Supervises the daily activities of the pharmacy technicians.
• Schedules and assigns daily work assignments for pharmacy technicians and may perform the duties of a pharmacy technician.
• Oversees process improvement activities.
• Acts as a liaison between departments, other hospital departments, physicians and external customers in matters relating to pharmacy operations.
• Collaborates with other disciplines to ensure that procedures and policies comply with organizational, federal, state and Board of Pharmacy rules and regulations.
• Conducts hiring, training, directing, development and evaluation of staff.

Requirements

• Pharmacy Tech credentialed from the Michigan Board of Pharmacy, or the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB), or the National Healthcareer Association obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
• A high school diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience or an Associate's degree/Technical degree with 1 year of experience or 5 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
