About the role
The Pharmacy Technician Sr assists and supports pharmacists in various aspects of the medication use process in a patient-focused manner, supporting and promoting medication safety.
Responsibilities
- Routinely performs more specialized roles than Pharmacy Technician III's and may assist with administrative tasks.
Requirements
- Require active registration as a pharmacy technician or pharmacy intern in the State of Florida.
- Require the ability to obtain a level 2 AHCA clearance.
- Require Certified Pharmacy Technician credential from Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB).
- Require three (3) years of experience in a Pharmacy Technician role within SMHCS or comparable organization.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prefer completion of PTCB certificate program or advanced certification in area of specialization.
Education
- Mandatory Education: Completion of a pharmacy technician program.
- Preferred Education: Completion of a PTCB certificate program or advanced certification in area of specialization.
Licenses and Certifications
- Required License and Certs: Active registration as a pharmacy technician or pharmacy intern in the State of Florida.
- Preferred License and Certs: Certified Pharmacy Technician credential from Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB).
