Pharmacy Technician - Specialty
About the role
Assists a registered pharmacist with support activities and processes required to dispense medical prescriptions.
Responsibilities
- Collects, inputs, and verifies prescription, refill, and patient information.
- Receives and stocks incoming supplies.
- May prepare labels and routine prepacked orders.
- May be expected to perform some clerical duties relating to the department.
Requirements
- Current registration as a Pharmacy Technician by the State of South Carolina Board of Pharmacy (SCBOP) is required and must be maintained.
- Must obtain and maintain Pharmacy Technician Certification (PTCB or ExCPT) certification.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Degree or Equivalent.
- Work Experience: 0-6 months Required.

- Attention to detail.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
