About the role
Maintains proficiency in all Tech IV functions and provides coverage in any core or advanced pharmacy practice areas as needed to address staff shortages, support program and service performance, and assure achievement of strategic goals across patient care areas serviced by the pharmacy team.
Responsibilities
- Executes expert-level pharmacy technician duties with mastery across all core and advanced workflows.
- Serves as the recognized subject matter expert in a designated specialty area, such as ADC systems, cleanroom/compounding, diversion prevention, informatics, investigational drugs, or medication history, based on organizational need and individual expertise.
- Solves complex issues and provides technical support related to the specialty area.
- Collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to ensure system functionality and process integrity.

- Ability to interact constructively with supervisors, peers, and external customers
- Ability to follow direction from formal management personnel and work well under direct supervision of a pharmacist
- Ability to identify, follow up, and resolve discrepancies
Qualifications
- High School Grad or Equiv [Required]
- Associate's [Preferred]
- Technical/Vocational School [Preferred]
- Completion of a pharmacy technician training program [Preferred]
- 3+ years contemporary hospital pharmacy experience with noted experience in targeted specialty pharmacy practice. [Required]
