Pharmacy Technician Specialist
Job Summary
The Pharmacy Technician Specialist performs functions related to pharmaceutical preparation and distribution under the direct supervision of a registered pharmacist. Key responsibilities include non-sterile compounding, stocking automated dispensing cabinets, unit dose drug preparation, delivering medications to patient care areas, checking medication storage areas for out dates, and billing.
Qualifications
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT or national equivalent) with Colorado Board of Pharmacy (DORA) issued Pharmacy Technician Certificate, or Colorado Board of Pharmacy (DORA) issued Provisional Pharmacy Technician Certificate
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous pharmacy technician experience preferred
- The ability to work accurately and with attention to detail
- Possesses communication, teamwork, customer service, computer, problem solving, and organizational skills
