About the Role
Pharmacy Technician PRN at Spotsylvania Regional Medical Center, part of HCA Healthcare. The position supports pharmacists by preparing and dispensing medications, maintaining inventory, and performing clerical duties in a hospital setting.
Responsibilities
- Assist pharmacists by filling routine orders for unit‑dose and pre‑packaged pharmaceutical dispenses following physicians’ orders.
- Count, package, and label unit doses for pharmacist inspection.
- Prepare I.V. mixtures and operate automated dispensing systems.
- Maintain pharmacy inventory and perform related clerical duties.
- Apply hospital policies and government regulations to dispensing activities.
- Support quality‑improvement initiatives, inventory management, and pharmaceutical ordering.
- Orient and mentor staff members.
- Follow Standard Precautions and use personal protective equipment as required.
Requirements
- Pharmacy Technician License (PharmTech) or Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) credential.
