About the role
Select Specialty Hospital - Augusta is a critical illness recovery hospital dedicated to providing world-class inpatient post-ICU services to chronically ill patients. The hospital aims to offer compassionate, excellent care to its patients during some of the most vulnerable moments of their lives.
Responsibilities
- Pick up drug orders at the nursing station(s) and prepare medications under the supervision of the pharmacist on shift.
- Deliver the appropriate quantities of medication to the correct patient area(s).
- Absorb and accurately bill and credit patient medications.
- Maintain drugs in the pharmacy in accordance with the Drug Formulary, including ordering, receiving, storing, and filling out necessary paperwork.
- Maintain accuracy in monitoring doses administered according to the Medication Administration Record and narcotics sign-out record.
- Maintain all forms and reports necessary for the control of narcotics and other controlled substances.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Current Pharmacy Technician Certification preferred, though not required by the state.

Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently are essential. Proficiency in computer systems and the ability to follow established policies and procedures are also important.

Pay
$20.00 per hour.
