Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) - PRN

About the role

Select Specialty Hospital is a critical illness recovery hospital dedicated to providing world-class inpatient post-ICU services to chronically ill patients. The hospital's team members play a central role in delivering compassionate, excellent care.

Responsibilities

• Picking up drug orders at the nursing station(s) and preparing medications under the supervision of the pharmacist on shift.
• Delivering the appropriate quantities of the medication to the correct patient area(s).
• Aiding in accurate billing and crediting of patient medications.
• Maintaining drugs in the pharmacy in accordance with the Drug Formulary, including ordering, receiving, storing, and filling out all necessary paperwork.
• Monitoring doses administered according to the Medication Administration Record and narcotics sign-out record.
• Maintaining all forms and reports necessary for the control of narcotics and other controlled substances.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Current Pharmacy Technician Certification preferred (state requirement may vary).
