Pharmacy Technician - Per Diem/PRN

About the role

Kessler Institute for Rehabilitation is an inpatient rehabilitation hospital dedicated to providing exceptional and compassionate care to individuals with various medical conditions such as brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, neurological disorders, orthopedic issues, amputations, and multiple traumas.

Responsibilities

• Pick up drug orders from the nursing station(s) and prepare medications under the supervision of the pharmacist on shift.
• Deliver the appropriate quantities of medication to the correct patient area(s).
• Aid in accurate billing and crediting of patient medications.
• Maintain drugs in the pharmacy in accordance with the Drug Formulary, including ordering, receiving, storing, and filling out necessary paperwork.
• Maintain accuracy in monitoring doses administered according to the Medication Administration Record and narcotics sign-out record.
• Maintain all forms and reports necessary for the control of narcotics and other controlled substances.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Current State Board of Pharmacy Registration Certificate as a Pharmacy Technician required by the State.
• One to two years' experience as a Pharmacy Technician preferred.
• Must be available to work six (6) shifts per six (6) week schedule, with three (3) shifts on weekends (Saturday's or Sunday's).

$26.00/hour

Schedule

Per Diem (PRN), As needed 8AM-4PM or 12PM-8PM weekdays / 9AM-5PM (Includes Weekday, Weekend & Holiday Shifts)
