Pharmacy Technician - Per Diem

About the role

Select Specialty Hospital - Nashville is a critical illness recovery hospital dedicated to providing world-class inpatient post-ICU services to chronically ill patients. The hospital aims to offer compassionate, excellent care to its patients during challenging times.

Responsibilities

• Pick up drug orders from the nursing station(s) and prepare medications under the supervision of the pharmacist on duty.
• Deliver the appropriate quantities of medication to the correct patient areas.
• Aid in accurate billing and crediting of patient medications.
• Maintain drugs in the pharmacy in accordance with the Drug Formulary, including ordering, receiving, storing, and filling out necessary paperwork.
• Monitor doses administered according to the Medication Administration Record and narcotics sign-out record.
• Maintain all forms and reports necessary for the control of narcotics and other controlled substances.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Current Pharmacy Technician Certification preferred (state requirements may vary).
