About the role

The Outpatient Pharmacy Technician is an exciting staff-level opportunity at MultiCare, assisting in manipulative and non-discretionary functions of the practice of pharmacy. In this role, you will apply your organizational skills and attention to detail for successful daily work operations.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in ordering supplies from wholesaler and direct accounts, and verify items received against invoices
  • Store items received and assist in maintaining stock levels, including dating and initialing invoices and/or packing slips upon receipt
  • Enter customer’s medication and billing information into computer system
  • Answer and screen telephone calls and forward as needed
  • Perform extemporaneous compounding under pharmacist supervision

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Current Pharmacy Technician Certification issued by the Washington State Department of Health
  • Successful completion of National Pharmacy Technician Certification Program (preferred)
  • If required to drive a MHS vehicle, a driver’s license is required
  • Retail pharmacy experience (retail health only)

Pay

We provide a competitive range of compensation for this position: $25.25 - $41.73 USD per hour. Pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education. If this position is associated with a union contract, pay will reflect the appropriate step on the pay scale aligned with the applicant’s years of experience.
