Pharmacy Technician Intake
Join a rapidly growing specialty pharmacy as a Pharmacy Technician Intake, where you will play a crucial role in simplifying access to medication and delivering personalized care to patients. Responsibilities
- Work on assignments that are moderately complex, utilizing judgment to resolve problems and make routine recommendations.
- Review referral contents to ensure complete and accurate information is received.
- Create patient profiles from scanned or faxed images by entering correct patient and provider information.
- Conduct an initial check of prescriptions to ensure clinical accuracy for processing.
- Communicate with providers regarding referral status, prescription clarification, missing information, or patient concerns.
- Update concise progress notes to enable quick assessment of referral status by other roles within the workflow.
- Accurately enter new provider information, such as the National Provider Identifier, into the system for reporting purposes.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Current CPhT Certified Pharmacy Technician certification, in good standing.
- 2+ years of pharmacy operation experience.
- Experience working in a pharmacy setting.
- NC Registered (NCBOP).
- High School Diploma required.

Qualifications
- Healthcare experience preferred.
Work Environment
The role is based in a call center environment with no direct patient contact, and all communication occurs over the phone. The work hours are Monday to Friday, 8am to 8pm EST, with closure on major holidays and weekends. Initially, the position requires onsite presence from 9am to 6pm during the reverification period. Once trained, the role transitions to a hybrid model with two days onsite and three days working from home.
Pay
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr.
