The Part-Time Pharmacy Technician Instructor will deliver a 32-hour Pharmacy Technician training program over a 4-week period, equipping participants with the foundational knowledge and skills needed to pursue employment opportunities in the healthcare sector.
Responsibilities
- Deliver pharmacy technician curriculum in an engaging and professional manner.
- Teach foundational topics including pharmacy operations, medication safety, prescription processing, pharmacy calculations, customer service, and healthcare regulations.
- Facilitate classroom discussions, hands-on activities, and practical exercises.
- Monitor student attendance, participation, and academic progress.
- Provide coaching, mentoring, and academic support to participants.
- Evaluate student performance through assessments and assignments.
- Maintain accurate classroom records and communicate regularly with NCUS TEC staff regarding student progress.
Requirements
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) credential preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of pharmacy experience in a retail, hospital, or healthcare setting.
- Previous training, teaching, or workforce development experience preferred.
- Strong communication, presentation, and classroom management skills.
- Passion for helping individuals develop career skills and enter the healthcare workforce.
