About the role
Join Cleveland Clinic Euclid Hospital and experience world-class healthcare at its best. Pharmacy technicians work under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist in preparing medications to dispense to patients.
Responsibilities
- Prepare medications to dispense to patients.
- Refill and maintain automated dispensing systems.
- Fill medication carts daily.
- Prepare orders and maintain inventory for the pharmacy.
- Repackage bulk medications.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Must meet all of the following license and certification combination requirements at the time of application:
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) through the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) OR the National HealthCareer Association (NHA).
- Active registration through the Ohio Board of Pharmacy (OBOP) as either a Certified Pharmacy Technician, Registered Pharmacy Technician, or Pharmacy Technician Trainee.
- If certified but current status with the Ohio Board of Pharmacy (OBOP) is Registered Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacy Technician Trainee, it is required to update registration status to a Certified Pharmacy Technician with the OBOP within six months of hire.
Qualifications
- Minimum qualifications: High School Diploma or GED.
- Preferred qualifications: Completion of a formal Pharmacy Technician Training Program, Six months of hospital experience.
Skills
- Proper pharmaceutical techniques.
- Interpersonal skills necessary to communicate effectively with patients as well as the pharmacist.
- Working knowledge of medical and pharmaceutical terminology.
- Pharmaceutical calculations.
- Data entry and recordkeeping.
- Pharmacy law and ethics.

Pay
- Pay Range Minimum hourly: $23.00
- Pay Range Maximum hourly: $23.00
Schedule
- This is a PRN position. A caregiver in this role will be required to work every 4th weekend. In addition, a caregiver in this role may have the opportunity to pick up shifts throughout the week.
