Pharmacy Technician - Inpatient Neurology, Variable Shift - Neuro Expansion

We are expanding with a new, one-million-square-foot, 15-floor, state-of-the-art facility on Cleveland Clinic Main Campus designed to elevate care for complex neurological conditions — including spine injuries, epileptic seizures, movement disorders, multiple sclerosis and stroke.
Responsibilities
- Prepare medications through selecting, labeling, repacking, non-sterile compounding and sterile compounding.
- Deliver medications to the appropriate storage locations in an accurate and timely manner.
- Maintain accurate and appropriate inventories of medications and supplies and complete inventory audits, such as cycle counts and nursing unit inspections.
- Maintain a safe and clean work area by complying with procedures, rules and regulations, and document regulatory requirements such as temperature logs, scheduled activities and training.
- Use information systems, technology and automation to complete assigned tasks.
- Assist with the training of pharmacy caregivers and students.
Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED
- Six months of related experience OR completion of a Pharmacy Technician Program
- Upon hire, you must be a Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) through the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or the National Healthcare Association (NHA).
- In addition to the above requirement, upon hire, it is required to hold an active registration through the Ohio Board of Pharmacy (OBOP) as either a Certified Pharmacy Technician, Registered Pharmacy Technician, or Pharmacy Technician Trainee.
- Please note: Caregivers with active Pharmacy Technician Trainee or Registered Pharmacy Technician registrations are required to update their registration to a Certified Pharmacy Technician registration with the OBOP within 6 months.
- Understanding of algebraic calculations necessary for the preparation of extemporaneous compounds
Preferred qualifications
- Six months of inpatient hospital and IV Sterile Compounding experience.

Pay Range
Minimum hourly: $21.50
Maximum hourly: $31.00
