Pharmacy Technician, Inpatient - Contingent
General Summary
Provides daily pharmacy technical services to inpatients, outpatients and other Health Center departments, working under strict time constraints. Responds to routine and emergency requests in a prompt and efficient manner requiring a moderate amount of independent judgment, an advanced level of technical knowledge and a high degree of accuracy. Good communication skills are necessary. IV Compounding skills are mandatory. The consequences of a compounding or drug selection error, if undetected, could result in serious patient injury.
Education & License Required
- High school diploma
- Minimum of six months of hospital or retail pharmacy experience or completion of a Pharmacy Technician training program
- Licensure as a Pharmacy Technician in the State of Michigan is required
