Pharmacy Technician - Inpatient

Responsibilities

• Prepare, package, and deliver medications to patient care units
• Maintain inventory and manage pharmacy records
• Provide excellent customer service to caregivers across the organization

Requirements

• Work rotating first and second shifts, with start times ranging from 6:00am to 1:00pm and 8-hour shifts scheduled between 6:00am and 9:30pm based on operational needs
• Participate in an every-third-weekend rotation, provide occasional third-shift coverage for PTO, and are expected to work two holidays per year

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED
• Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) through the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or the National Healthcare Association (NHA)
• Active registration through the Ohio Board of Pharmacy (OBOP) as either a Certified Pharmacy Technician, Registered Pharmacy Technician, or Pharmacy Technician Trainee

Preferred Qualifications

• Six months of hospital experience
• Completion of a formal pharmacy technician training program

Physical Requirements

• Able to stand, walk, reach, stretch, and sit for prolonged periods
• Manual dexterity sufficient to perform computer, dispensing, and compounding

Pay

Pay Range Minimum hourly: $21.50
Maximum hourly: $31.00
