Pharmacy Technician II - Scripts Retail Pharmacy - Bayfront Hospital

Operational Responsibilities

• Demonstrates understanding of safety, emergency, and risk management procedures.
• Demonstrates understanding of the hospital mission, personnel policies, philosophy, goals, customer service, and objectives of the Pharmacy and Orlando Health.
• Demonstrates familiarity with the general duties and processes of the Pharmacy department.
• Demonstrates ability to identify and utilize resources and departments for customer service and patient care.
• Demonstrates ability to operate equipment required for pharmacy procedures.
• Performs basic Pharmacy Technician procedures and drug procurement.
• Accurately assists Pharmacist in medication distribution and performs aseptic techniques.
• Maintains USP 797 standards and regulatory documentation.
• Maintains safe handling and disposal of medications.
• Completes special projects as assigned.
• Trains new pharmacy technicians if needed.
• Maintains advanced expertise in specialized practice areas and covers technician services as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Maintains current Pharmacy Technician registration with the Florida State Board of Pharmacy.
• Greater than one year up to four years of experience as a pharmacy technician.
