Pharmacy Technician II, Home Infusion, Variable 1st shift

About the role

This position is a rotating schedule, 7am- 3:30pm, 7:30am-4:30pm, 8am-5pm, 8:30am-5:30pm. Monday through Friday, no weekends and no holidays.

Responsibilities

• Helps pharmacists prepare and process medication orders to make sure patients and departments get the right medications on time and are charged correctly.
• Works well with others and organizes daily tasks for maximum efficiency.
• Helps keep medicine stock in good condition so that quality drugs and supplies are always available.
• Offers pharmacy services in patient care areas.
• Takes part in team efforts to improve quality and supports the Pharmacy Department's commitment to Total Quality principles.
• Keeps knowledge and skills up to date and helps educate others.
• Sets personal goals to support quality improvement and departmental objectives.
• Follows hospital standards to create a positive work environment through good communication, relationships, and teamwork.
• Provides care tailored to different age groups as per Age Specific Care Guidelines.

Requirements

• A high school diploma or GED equivalent.
• PTCB/NHA technician certification (CPhT).
• North Carolina Board of Pharmacy registration as a pharmacy technician within 30 days of hire.

Qualifications

• One-year previous pharmacy experience preferred.
• Associate degree in a healthcare or business-related field preferred.

Skills

Nice to have:

• Successful completion of a formal technician training program.

$22.90 - $34.35
