Pharmacy Technician II - Home Care Infusion

About the role

Provide technical support and assistance to pharmacy staff under supervision of a pharmacist and following established procedures. Prepare and distribute medications. Control inventory, perform record keeping functions and data entry, and provide customer service to internal and external clients. Primary duties are sterile compounding and tasks to support this including stocking and cleaning.

Responsibilities

• Perform sterile compounding tasks including stocking and cleaning
• Assist pharmacist in filling home care medication orders
• Maintain and calibrate Automated Compounding Devices
• Help troubleshoot and resolve equipment problems
• Follow USP797 and USP800 guidelines

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent experience
• Graduation from Washington Board of Pharmacy accredited pharmacy technician training program, or equivalent
• Current Washington State Pharmacy Technician Certification
• Possession of Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) preferred
• Hospital/Home Care pharmacy experience preferred
• Experience preparing IV admixtures: large volume parenterals, syringes, hazardous medication, compounded sterile preparations, investigational medications preferred

Qualifications

• Flexibility to assist pharmacist in filling home care medication orders
• Working knowledge of USP797 and USP800

• Strong organizational and time management skills

Pay

$32.65 - $52.83 per hour
