About the role

Park Nicollet is seeking a Certified Pharmacy Technician to join their Home Infusion team. The position involves assisting in the timely and accurate dispensing of sterile hazardous and non-hazardous medications to patients according to state and federal guidelines. The role operates Monday through Friday with two holidays per year and requires one full-time equivalent (1.0 FTE) of 40 hours per week.

Responsibilities

  • Assists in the timely and accurate dispensing of sterile hazardous and non-hazardous medications to patients in accordance with state and federal guidelines.
  • Works under direct supervision of a Pharmacist.
  • Ensures all procedures are performed in compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • May assist in the preparation of sterile solutions and compounding of medications.
  • Performs inventory checks and maintains accurate records of medications dispensed.
  • Communicates with patients and healthcare providers regarding medication orders and patient needs.
  • May perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Licensure/Registration/Certification: Registered with the Minnesota Board of Pharmacy as a Pharmacy Technician and certified as a CPhT through PTCB or ExCPT.
  • Valid driver's license and meets Park Nicollet's motor vehicle violation criteria.
  • Two or more years (4,160+ hours) of Pharmacy Technician experience.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Completion of a pharmacy technician training program.
  • Knowledge of pharmacy practices and procedures.
  • Ability to read and interpret medical records and prescriptions.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.

Skills

  • Proficient in computer systems used in pharmacies.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
