Pharmacy Technician II - Front End
Position Summary
This is an exciting opportunity for Pharmacy Technicians to excel in a complex, team-oriented environment while having the opportunity to develop and strengthen technical skills and pharmacology knowledge. Required Qualifications
- Pharmacy Technician license in compliance with applicable state law where applicant resides.
- Az requires an active state technician license.
- Fl requires an active state technician license.
- Idaho requires active state technician license AND national certification.
- Il requires active state technician license AND national certification (IL must be marked certified on state Illinois license).
- Pa requires an active state technician license.
- Tx requires an active state technician license AND national certification.
- Minimum of 6 months related pharmacy technician experience.
- Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills.
- Candidate must reside in the state of Fl, Il, Pa, or Tx.
- A secure room free from noise and distractions, with a closing door and ergonomic-friendly work area (i.e., desk, chair).
- Must have your own internet provider that can support the virtual working environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Has an active National Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT).
- Previous mail order or retail pharmacy experience.
- Rapid keyboarding skills while maintaining 100% accuracy.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret standard operating procedures.
- Able to understand and interpret Latin symbols commonly used on prescriptions medications and able to write routing correspondence.
- Recognizing, identifying, and having general knowledge of commonly used generic drugs.
- Able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Includes the ability to calculate dosages and day-supply prescriptions.
- Able to work using computer screens for extended periods of time.
- Proficient in troubleshooting computer issues.
Education
A high school diploma or GED is required.
Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is $17.00 - $31.30. This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
