About the role

A Pharmacy Technician II Certified Retail Specialty performs specialized functions to assist pharmacists in providing safe, efficient, and cost-effective services. This role helps maintain pharmacy workflow, inventory, billing, and other processes under moderate supervision.

Responsibilities

• Receives and transcribes orders, answers phones, and sells prescriptions to maintain pharmacy workflow.
• Assists in inventory maintenance.
• Serves as a reference for other pharmacy technicians.
• Helps mentor employees through training and orientation processes.
• Leads and implements process improvement and departmental quality initiatives.
• Delivers quality customer service to every patient.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent (required).
• 2 years of experience (required).

Qualifications

• Pharmacy Technician certification through PTCB or NHA prior to hire.
• Registered with the NC Board of Pharmacy within 30 days of hire.
