Job Summary

You will assist the Pharmacist in all operations related to medication preparation and distribution, where extreme accuracy and meticulous attention to detail are paramount. Every day, you will accurately perform pharmaceutical calculations, compound non-sterile dosage forms, and effectively utilize inventory management systems and automated dispensing cabinets.

Responsibilities

• Accurately perform pharmaceutical calculations and compound non-sterile dosage forms.
• Effectively utilize inventory management systems and automated dispensing cabinets.
• Leverage high-level security clearance to access all medication storage areas, procedural areas, and surgical suites.
• Strictly abide by all state and federal regulations, including stringent record-keeping and infection prevention standards.
• Consistently prioritize work to respond to acute critical patient needs alongside scheduled duties.
• Demonstrate initiative, flexibility, and a strong willingness to work as a cohesive member of a team.
• Accurately prepare medications, manage inventory, navigate a highly regulated environment, and maintain composure under pressure.
• Perform all duties of a pharmacy technician in accordance with established policies and procedures related to the preparation and distribution of medication.
• Restock medication dispensing cabinets and fill first doses.
• Perform duties required for patient specific medication delivery.
• Perform duties required for narcotic distribution and assist in discrepancy resolution.
• Ensure current dating of all supplies and medications.
• Maintain all records and documents in accordance with state and federal regulations.

Requirements

• Required High school diploma or GED
• Registered Pharmacy Tech in the state in which the employee works, PHARMTECH:UT
• Active CPTEXCPT or CPTPTCB or CPHT certification in good standing
