Pharmacy Technician I

Qualifications

• Current registration with the State of Kansas according to the Kansas State Board of Pharmacy
• Current Certification as a Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) within 6 months of hire date
• Completion of a formal vocational/technical training program for pharmacy technicians and/or 1 year of hospital inpatient pharmacy experience preferred

About the Role

Here is some of what you can expect from being a Pharmacy Technician with us:

• You will be responsible for filling automated dispensing systems
• You will package unit dose medications
• You will prepares non-sterile compounding medications
• You will produce labels and prepare IV admixtures (including chemotherapy)
• You will prepare medications
• Your role will provide basic technical support for automated dispensing machines and other pharmacy computer systems
• You will stock and deliver pharmacy supplies when needed
• You will be responsible for destroying controlled substances within the facility when needed
