Responsibilities

• Fill automated dispensing systems
• Package unit dose medications
• Prepare non-sterile compounding medications
• Produce labels and prepare IV admixtures (including chemotherapy)
• Prepare medications
• Provide basic technical support for automated dispensing machines and other pharmacy computer systems
• Stock and deliver pharmacy supplies when needed
• Destroy controlled substances within the facility when needed

Qualifications

• Current registration with the State of Kansas according to the Kansas State Board of Pharmacy
• Current Certification as a Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) within 6 months of hire date

Preferred Qualifications

• Completion of a formal vocational/technical training program for pharmacy technicians and/or 1 year of hospital inpatient pharmacy experience
