About the role
The Pharmacy Technician I at Lumicera Health Services assists the pharmacist in obtaining all necessary information for dispensing and adjudicating medications correctly. They are responsible for answering phone calls, contacting doctors, and managing prescription orders. Additionally, they manage queues, ensure accurate inventory, and verify prescriptions before shipment.
Responsibilities
- Answer inbound calls from patients, prescribers, and other healthcare professionals
- Contact doctors to obtain necessary prescription information
- Manage prescription order queues, working oldest orders first
- Ship specialty pharmacy orders accurately
- Ensure adequate inventory of pharmaceuticals, including ordering, receiving, verifying, and stocking
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- National CPhT and/or registration/licensure required based on employee's state of residence
- Two years pharmacy support experience or healthcare environment experience preferred
Qualifications
- Act in accordance with all applicable federal and state laws and ethical standards
Skills
