Key Responsibilities
- Manage high-volume inbound calls from members, pharmacies, and prescribers within a national customer care center.
- Address real-time pharmacy point-of-service inquiries and assist with benefit-related questions.
- Guide prescribers through formulary alternatives and prior authorization processes.
- Clearly explain pharmacy benefits and coverage details to members in simple terms.
- Accurately enter customer data and document all interactions in tracking systems.
- Adhere to standard operating procedures to ensure consistent, accurate service.
- Communicate issues and resolutions effectively to customers and internal teams.
Requirements
- Recent PBM and pharmacy call center experience.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize effectively.
- Proficiency in using computer systems and software for data entry and record-keeping.
Qualifications
- National Pharmacy Technician Certification (PTCB, NHA) preferred.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
Skills
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Knowledge of pharmacy benefit managers and formularies.
- Experience with call center operations.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
