Responsibilities
- Prepares, organizes and maintains work area.
- Fills containers, prepares and affixes labels, prepackages pharmaceuticals, maintains records, and stocks supplies under supervision.
- Prepares and labels IVs, hyperalimentation solutions, chemotherapy agents, and other pharmaceutical products.
- Responds to patient admission, transfer, discharge, discontinued medication notices, and processes physician orders.
- Affords assistance with recordkeeping, billing and accounting functions.
- Affords assistance in ordering, receiving, inspecting and adjusting stock.
- Maintains floor stock, crash carts and nursing station inspection reports.
- Performs other related duties as directed.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
- Michigan Pharmacy Technician License or Enrolled in a Pharmacy Technician Certification Program (currently enrolled or upon hire)
- Exemplary customer service skills
- Requires attention to detail & multi-tasking skills
