Responsibilities
- Assist with filling medication orders and automated dispensing cabinet refills by selecting the proper drug.
- Perform medication histories with patients for pharmacist review.
- Restock pharmacy inventory, including both bulk and unit dose medications.
- Deliver medications to various units within the healthcare facility.
- Review medication orders and coordinate with healthcare staff to resolve discrepancies.
- Provide customer service to patients and healthcare professionals at the pharmacy counter.
- Perform inspections of medication storage areas and ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Participate in the preparation of floor stock orders and inventory control.
- Scan and put away medications in designated areas.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the pharmacy work area.
- Use the pharmacy computer system to input and retrieve data accurately.
- Participate in training sessions and actively seek opportunities for skill development.
- Adhere to all pharmacy laws, regulations, and guidelines to ensure patient safety.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must obtain a Pharmacy Technician Certification (PTCB) within one year of hire.
- Association-accredited course in Basic Life Support (BLS) (for clinical staff), or Heartsaver CPR AED (for nonclinical staff), and renewal on a regular basis, with up to a three-month grace period after the expiration date.

Qualifications
- Little to no prior pharmacy experience required; training and mentorship will be provided.
