Pharmacy Technician (Full-Time)

About the role

Nemours Children's Health is seeking a Pharmacy Technician (Full-Time) to join their pharmacy team in Orlando, Florida.

Work Schedule

Primary shifts are rotating day and evening shifts within the hours of 6:00am-11:00pm daily with overnight shift rotations as needed, 8:30pm-7:00am including an every other weekend rotation.

Responsibilities

• Provides Pharmacy Services within the Inpatient Pharmacy Department and the Nemours Children’s Hospital (NCH).
• Aids in the preparation (including technical aspects of preparation) and delivery of medications to be dispensed to patients.
• Assists in providing customer service to internal and external customers.
• Performs aseptic compounding of parenteral admixtures and other sterile dosage forms.
• Carries out the calculations required for the usual dosage determination and solutions preparation, using weight and volume equivalents in the metric system.
• Maintains punctual attendance consistent with Nemours policies, regulatory, and federal, state, and local standards.
• Interacts with both internal and external customers and responds appropriately.

Requirements

• High School Diploma required.
• Minimum of six (6) months experience required.
• Pharmacy Internship experience or completion of a six month Pharmacy Technician training program may be considered as required work experience.
• Florida Pharmacy Technician licensure required within 6 months of hire.
• Florida Pharmacy Intern license may be accepted in lieu of Florida Pharmacy Technician License.
• Certified Pharmacy Technician preferred.
• Hospital Pharmacy experience preferred.
