Pharmacy Technician for OTP Clinic

Description

BAArt Programs is seeking a compassionate and customer service-oriented Pharmacy Technician to support healthcare providers and patients. The primary responsibilities include:

  • Answering questions and requests from health care providers and patients
  • Maintaining pharmacy inventory by checking stock, ordering supplies, and ensuring receipt accuracy
  • Ensuring a safe and clean environment by following infection control policies
  • Preparing medications and assembling intravenous solutions as directed by the pharmacist
  • Recording and filing physicians' orders and prescriptions
  • Calculating and issuing charges for medications
  • Delivering medications to patients and departments
  • Generating reports by collecting and summarizing information
Qualifications:
  • Minimum age of 18
  • Current license as a Pharmacy Technician in the state where assigned
  • Understanding of HIPAA, Federal, State, and CARF standards and regulations
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Proven excellent documentation and computer skills
  • Knowledge of local community drug trends, effects of drugs on the body, signs and symptoms of narcotic overdose, psychosocial implications of addictive disease, and treatment processes
  • Ability to work effectively within medical hierarchies, solve complex problems with clients, and work independently
  • Good time management skills
  • Exhibits excellent customer service skills and works with a diverse population
  • Knowledge of Code of Pharmacy Regulations in the state where assigned
  • Satisfactory drug screen and criminal background check
