Pharmacy Technician for Pharmacy Services
About the role
Fills, labels, processes, and records doctor ordered prescriptions for patients.
Answers incoming telephone calls and responds to customer and long-term care staff requests.
Places orders for pharmaceuticals products utilizing an automated pharmaceutical computer ordering system and establishes patient charges; expedites emergency orders as needed.
Packages products and prepares them for delivery to nursing centers.
Manages pharmaceutical stock levels; restocks and replenishes supplies; conducts inventories in accordance with established guidelines.
Maintains pharmaceutical related records, files, and patient profiles.
Complies with all HIPAA policies specifically relating to patient confidentiality and release of information; maintains strict confidentiality on all client information;
Attends staff in-services and training.
Promotes the image and reputation of the System by exhibiting servant leadership and providing direct and open lines of communication.
Contributes to the work of committees, workgroups, project management, and other collaborative efforts of the System.
Performs other duties as necessary to ensure the success of the System

Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Knowledge of pharmacy practices and procedures.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office.
