Pharmacy Technician - Dispensing (Full-Time)

About the role

The Pharmacy Technician will perform functions of filling, shipping and/or packing prescription orders in accordance with standard operating procedures. Work may include cold packing, single bagging, control room, and bulk packing. The role also handles receiving and replenishment of product throughout the facility, including direct and wholesaler products and inventory supplies.

Responsibilities

• Fill, ship, and pack prescription orders following SOPs.
• Perform cold packing, single bagging, control room, and bulk packing as assigned.
• Receive and replenish product, handling both direct and wholesaler items.
• Load and unload trucks, matching manifests to received material.
• Operate RF devices, forklifts, and pallet jacks for material handling.
• Collaborate with the Inventory Coordinator on variances (shortages & overages) and exceptions (damages & expirations).
• Process incoming transfers and coordinate vendor returns.
• Maintain a clean and well‑organized warehouse area.

Requirements

• Licensed Pharmacy Technician in the state of Texas.
• Shipping/Packing experience, or similar work experience in an environment with production and quality objectives.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lb.
• Ability to reach, twist, turn, bend, stoop, walk, and stand for the length of the shift.
• Ability to push and pull heavy mail bins.
• Ability to use a 10‑key pad on a computer.
• Maintain focus on work to meet production requirements without compromising quality.

Qualifications

• Previous retail or PBM experience (preferred).
• Nationally Certified Pharmacy Technician (preferred).
• High School diploma or GED.

Schedule

Monday‑Friday, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm CT

Pay

The typical base hourly rate ranges from $17.00 to $28.46. The actual offer will depend on experience, education, geography, and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission, or short‑term incentive program in addition to the base pay.
