About the role

We are a collaborative, supportive, and caring team looking for a Pharmacy Technician to perform essential pharmacy duties under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.

Responsibilities

  • Input Pharmacy, Cycle, Dispensing, Pain Management, & E-Kit pharmacy technician duties as needed
  • Provide dispensing assistance under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist
  • Process daily workflow to provide timely and efficient medication delivery
  • Assist with inventory control and participate in quarterly physical inventory counts
  • Ensure compliance with all record-keeping requirements
  • Communicate information effectively to supervisors and team members
  • Maintain proficiency with computer systems
  • Demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness while improving quality standards
  • Maintain confidentiality of work-related information and materials in compliance with HIPAA regulations
  • Adhere to Employee Standards and Code of Conduct; report any violations
  • Stay knowledgeable and compliant with company policies, state, and federal regulations (e.g., Medicaid, CMS)
  • Attend meetings and in-services as required
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • One (1) to three (3) years of pharmacy technician experience
  • Active Tennessee Board of Pharmacy Technician Registration
  • Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT)
  • Must complete continuing education in pharmacy-related topics to maintain certification
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Completion of a pharmacy technician program preferred

Skills

  • Knowledge of the pharmacy industry, Medicaid Regulations, CMS, and other state/federal regulations
  • Ability to maintain an established work schedule
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including tact and diplomacy
  • Organizational and planning skills with attention to detail and follow-through
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
  • Commitment to accuracy, thoroughness, and continuous improvement of quality standards
