About the role

The Certified Pharmacy Technician plays a critical role in supporting the complex and personalized medication needs of patients at St. Anthony North Hospital. Key responsibilities include preparing and dispensing prescribed medications, performing compounding of intravenous medications, managing inventory, and performing clerical/administrative tasks under the supervision of a pharmacist.

Responsibilities

  • Prepares and dispenses prescribed medications for patients.
  • Performs compounding of intravenous medications.
  • Assists in managing inventory.
  • Performs charging and crediting functions for medications associated with drug distribution processes.
  • Performs routine clerical/administrative tasks.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Registered Pharmacy Tech in the state in which you’ll work.
  • Active CPT-EXCPT or CPT-PTCB or CPHT certification in good standing in the state in which you’ll work.
  • 6 months experience compounding of IV medication.

  • Proficiency with office equipment and ability to learn new software/database systems.

Pay

The posted compensation range is $20.13 - $34.03 /hour, reflecting the lowest to highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting.

Schedule

This is a PRN "as needed" position, working 5 shifts within a 6-week time period. You may also be asked to cover one summer holiday and one winter holiday.
