About the role

The inpatient pharmacy department at Elliot Hospital is comprised of pharmacists and technicians who collaborate to provide safe, timely, and effective medication therapy to patients. The department operates a decentralized model for both medication distribution using Omnicell automation and clinical support from pharmacists dedicated to nursing units.

Responsibilities

  • Processes and prepares all patient-specific medications as per provider orders for pharmacist review.
  • Distributes prepared medications to health system locations.
  • Maintains automated dispensing cabinet medication inventory.
  • Traits telephone calls to appropriate pharmacy personnel.
  • Serves as liaison between nursing staff and the pharmacy.
  • Supports the pharmacist by performing monthly floor inspections and triaging nursing staff electronic communications to pharmacists.
  • Operates as operational support during assigned shifts.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • NH Board of Pharmacy registration required.
  • National and NH Board of Pharmacy certification required.
  • One year of previous pharmacy experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of NH Drug laws preferred.

Pay

Salary commensurate with experience.

Schedule

40 hours a week on days with occasional second shift coverage. Every third weekend.
