Responsibilities

• Assist the pharmacist with technical, non‑clinical aspects of medication preparation and pharmacy operations.
• Participate reliably and punctually as a member of the pharmacy team.
• Perform related work as required.
• Complete all onboarding, training, and annual competencies to meet regulatory and organizational requirements.
• Compound non‑sterile medications in accordance with USP 795 and applicable regulations.
• Accurately restock and replenish pharmacy inventory from orders, returns, and automated dispensing machines.
• Maintain a neat, organized, and clean pharmacy environment, restocking supplies as needed.
• Remove and segregate expired, damaged, or compromised medications from active inventory in the pharmacy, automated machines, and floor stock.
• Document activities per policy and file records in a neat, retrievable manner.
• Assist in training newly hired pharmacy technicians.
• Prepare sterile intravenous admixtures aseptically in accordance with USP 797/800, State Board of Pharmacy regulations, and organizational policies.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• Active Registered Pharmacy Technician in good standing with the Texas Board of Pharmacy.
• Preferred: 1 year of hospital pharmacy technician experience.
• Preferred: National Certification (CPhT).
• Preferred: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
