Pharmacy Technician

A Day in the Life

As a Pharmacy Technician, you have the opportunity to be a part of something bigger. You will be a member of a team supporting our pharmacies, pharmacists, and communities. You create an easy, friendly, and exciting pharmacy experience for your patients. You make our pharmacy a great place for your friends, family, and neighbors to get their prescriptions.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain accurate records of patient prescriptions and medication histories.
• Assist pharmacists with compounding medications as needed.
• Prepare medications according to prescribed dosages and safety guidelines.
• Provide patient education on the proper use of medications and side effects.
• Handle cash transactions and ensure accurate record-keeping.
• Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the pharmacy.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be able to obtain proper licenses (where required by local state requirements).
• Experience in a healthcare setting is preferred but not required.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities.
• Knowledge of basic pharmacology and drug interactions.
• Basic computer skills, including proficiency with pharmacy software.
