Pharmacy Technician

A Day in the Life

As a Pharmacy Technician, you will support our pharmacies, pharmacists, and communities. You will create an easy, friendly, and exciting pharmacy experience for your patients. You will also have the opportunity to promote and provide immunizations (where allowed by law).

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain accurate medication records
• Assist pharmacists with compounding medications
• Prepare medications according to prescription orders
• Handle cash transactions and manage inventory
• Communicate effectively with patients and other healthcare professionals
• Provide patient education on medication use and side effects
• Perform quality control checks on medications
• Follow safety protocols and ensure a sterile environment

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening
• Must be able to obtain proper licenses (where required by local state requirements)
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment

Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Passion for helping others and providing excellent customer service

Skills

• Knowledge of pharmaceuticals and medical terminology
• Basic computer skills, including proficiency with pharmacy software
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
• Good organizational and time management skills
