Pharmacy Technician

A Day in the Life

As a Pharmacy Technician, you will support our pharmacies, pharmacists, and communities. You will create an easy, friendly, and exciting pharmacy experience for your patients. You will also have the opportunity to promote and provide immunizations (where allowed by law).

Responsibilities

• Support pharmacists and other pharmacy staff in providing quality patient care.
• Prepare medications according to prescription orders and safety guidelines.
• Assist with inventory management and restocking of pharmacy supplies.
• Handle cash transactions and maintain accurate records.
• Provide customer service and answer questions about medications and health concerns.
• Administer immunizations where permitted by law.

Requirements

• Must have or be willing to obtain proper licenses (where required by local state requirements).
• Fast-paced environment experience is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Positive attitude and ability to interact with diverse groups of people.
• Eagerness to learn and grow professionally.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of a pharmacy technician program or equivalent experience.
• Ability to pass a background check.

Skills

• Excellent communication skills.
• Attention to detail.
• Knowledge of pharmaceuticals and medical terminology.
• Basic computer skills, including proficiency with pharmacy software.
