Pharmacy Technician

Rome Health is currently seeking a full-time Pharmacy Technician to assist pharmacists in the preparation and delivery of medications. The ideal candidate must be flexible and willing to work as a team. Basic computer skills and ability to learn computer programs and applications required to perform pharmacy services tasks. Technicians Assist in maintaining records and drug inventories.Maintain dispensing and store room areas in neat, clean, and stocked condition for safe and efficient operation of the pharmacy department.Assist with appropriate inventory levels and procurement of medications required to provide safe patient care.Monitor inventory for outdated products on a monthly basis.Perform inspections on units to ensure adequate stock and dated products are available for use.Monitor temperatures and outdates of all MDVs on units.Monitor kits and ensure cartfill is completed timely and accurately. Departmental hours are M-F 7:00 am to 9:00 pm and Saturday and Sunday 7:00am to 5:00pm. Occasional deviations from departmental hours may be required under special circumstances in order to deliver necessary pharmaceutical services(i.e. Scheduled downtimes/upgrades). Qualifications High School Diploma or GED At minimum 1 year of experience working in a retail Pharmacy. Hours may vary. Will be required to work weekends/holidays/nights/on-call shifts.
