Pharmacy Technician

A Day in the Life

As a Pharmacy Technician, you will support our pharmacies, pharmacists, and communities. You will create an easy, friendly, and exciting pharmacy experience for your patients. You will also have the opportunity to promote and provide immunizations (where allowed by law).

Responsibilities

• Support pharmacists and other pharmacy staff in providing quality patient care.
• Prepare medications according to prescriptions and safety guidelines.
• Assist patients with their medication needs, including answering questions and providing information about medications.
• Manage inventory and maintain accurate records of medications and supplies.
• Perform administrative tasks such as filling out forms and maintaining patient records.
• Provide immunizations (where allowed by law).

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of a pharmacy technician program or equivalent experience.
• Knowledge of pharmacy operations and regulations.
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients, colleagues, and supervisors.
• Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.

Skills

• Strong organizational skills.
• Excellent communication skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Computer literacy, especially proficiency with pharmacy software.
