Pharmacy Technician

The Pharmacy Technician works to ensure customer satisfaction by serving each customer according to the company mission. This position is located within a clinic setting and includes other duties as assigned to support the clinic’s mission.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates ability to accurately and efficiently fill prescription orders.
• Answers phone in a courteous manner, determines where to direct, notifies the person who is to receive the call, or takes a message as appropriate.
• Quickly and efficiently assists customers at the pharmacy window, including locating client’s prescription order, determining status of prescription order, and cash register functions.
• Self-directed in restocking medications, supplies, putting away daily orders, and cleaning of pharmacy, including vacuuming, trash removal, and shredding.
• Accepts and completes other duties as assigned by pharmacy staff with a positive attitude.
• Works to ensure customer satisfaction by serving each customer according to the company mission.
• Adheres to Pharmacy Department Quality Assurance Standards as directed by the Pharmacist staff and Pharmacist-in-Charge.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED Equivalent required.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills in person, in writing, or on the telephone required.
• Ability to work as part of a team.
• Strong interpersonal skills.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a Retail Pharmacy Environment preferred.
• Third Party Billing Experience preferred.
• PTCB certification or willingness to obtain preferred.

Pay

$25.00/hour (based on 1.0 FTE or 40 hours per week; less than 40 hours/week will be prorated).
