PHARMACY/TECHNICIAN
About the role
Fry’s Food Stores, now part of The Kroger Company, seeks a dedicated individual to join our team as a Pharmacy Assistant. This position provides exceptional customer service, ensuring a safe and inclusive environment, and adheres to all legal and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
- Comply with local, state, and federal regulations; report all illegal activity
- Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and safety regulations
- Manage inventory and order products according to company guidelines
- Perform billing procedures accurately and efficiently
- Handle phone calls and triage inquiries
- Adhere to guidelines on accepting and tendering vendor coupons and managing cash shortages
- Operate cash registers and handle electronic fund transactions
- Provide a positive customer experience during reception, data entry, and product dispensing
- Support pharmacists in their responsibilities
- Follow HIPAA regulations and company policies
- Participate in health and wellness initiatives
- Manage legend orders, including Central Fill deliveries
- Work in a high-paced, sometimes stressful environment
- Resolve conflicts in a non-confrontational manner
- Handle confidential information with honesty and integrity
- Communicate effectively with minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Age 18 or older
- Previous comparable experience preferred
- EPRN familiarity desired
