Pharmacy Technician

About the role

Fry’s Food Stores, now part of The Kroger Company, seeks a dedicated individual to join our team as a Pharmacy Assistant. This role involves providing exceptional customer service, ensuring a safe and inclusive environment, and adhering to legal and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Comply with local, state and federal regulations; report all illegal activity
• Report all unsafe conditions and notify store management
• Order and manage inventory of medications, devices, supplements and supplies
• Prepare and count products using company best practices
• Handle billing procedures accurately to ensure best value for both the customer and the company
• Answer phone calls and triage inquiries
• Manage cash register operations and tender electronic fund transactions
• Support company health and wellness initiatives
• Perform tasks under the supervision of a pharmacist
• Work in a high-paced and sometimes stressful environment

Qualifications

• Minimum High School Diploma or GED
• Age 18 or older
• Confidentiality of information handling
• Desired: Previous comparable experience, EPRN familiarity
