Pharmacy Technician
Job Summary
As a Pharmacy Technician, you will provide essential support to pharmacists in dispensing medications, assisting patients, and ensuring smooth daily operations. You will uphold medication safety, patient satisfaction, and efficient workflow every day.
Responsibilities
- Expertly process prescriptions, meticulously enter patient information, accurately count, pour, and label medications, and manage inventory.
- Assist patients, answer questions within your scope, manage prescriber communication, and maintain a clean environment.
- Perform duties required to restock medication dispensing cabinets and fill first doses.
- Process medications at patient discharge and transfer, perform duties required for narcotic distribution and assist in discrepancy resolution, and process credits and restock returns.
- Record waste, answer phone and determine order status, triage calls for appropriate resolution, review anesthesiology records and extract pharmacy charges, and reconcile controlled substances with anesthesia department.
Requirements
- Required High School Graduate, or High School GED
- Certified Pharmacy Technician ECPT, Certified Pharmacy Technician PTCB, or Certified Pharmacy Technician
