Pharmacy Technician
About the role
QualityHealth Pharmacy – New Jersey (QHP-NJ) is a fully owned subsidiary of Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health System. QHP-NJ is looking for Full and Part-time pharmacy technicians to help drive progress and fulfill our mission of serving those with cognitive and behavioral differences.
Responsibilities
- Fill, package, and ship medication and pharmaceutical supplies according to regulatory requirements under the direction of a pharmacist
- Aid with inventory control including receiving and stocking of pharmacy supplies
- Complete and submit required documents and paperwork, e.g., prescription records, reports, monthly medication charge and usage reports
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- HS Diploma or GED
- Minimum of three (3) years previous pharmacy technician with, long-term care pharmacy experience preferred
- Certified Pharmacy PTCB preferred and will be required to obtain within the first year of employment
- Registration with the NJ Board of Pharmacy as a pharmacy technician required within first 90 days of employment
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office products
- Proficiency in Pharmacy information system software, with QS-1 PrimeCare experience preferred
- Strong customer service skills and team player with the ability to adapt to change and work effectively in a cross-functional team environment
- Multi-tasker with ability to meet deadlines
- Valid driver’s license and car is required
Qualifications
- Experience in a pharmacy setting
- Knowledge of pharmacy regulations and procedures
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare providers
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products
- Knowledge of pharmacy information systems

Pay
$19.00/hour to $21.66/hour
Schedule
Working full or part-time hours from 8am to 4:30pm Monday through Friday. Additional shifts may be added on weekends and evenings as needed.
